Throughout my life, I have made many mistakes, poor decisions, and very bad choices, and for much of my life I honestly felt that there was no way out, that I was predestined to live a life of worthlessness and pain. Although I had spent many Sundays in church services, and Bible classes, I really had no idea who this God person was; to me He was just the big man upstairs. The Bible stories of my youth were just that, they were stories that seemed great; however, they hadn’t truly ever become anything more than fun and interesting stories with some type of a moral basis. As I grew up on the streets of east Austin, Texas, the stories of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob along with Daniel, Joseph, and Jesus continued to remain in the back of my mind; however, the Love of Christ was simply not in me.
