 Never Alone

 I Samuel 12:22 For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

Hebrews 13:5, 6 let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee so that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.  

Have you ever experienced depression, felt lonely, or simply felt burdened with the weight of the living life in this world? Well you are not alone. Today’s tough economic climate combined with the ever increasing turbulence around the world can have a detrimental effect on an individual’s state of mind; however, it is important to know that we have a friend and an ally to help us through these difficult times, and His name is Jesus.

Since the beginning of time, God has wanted to have a relationship with us as people; we were created in his image and had the breath of life blown into our lungs. The very air we breathe is a gift from God, a simple reminder that He will never leave us or forsake us. The Lord Our God, Jesus Christ of Nazareth was sent to Earth to be our redeemer, our friend, and our ever present help in times of need, this is God’s Promise to you, that you will never be alone.

Helping Oneself In 2013, I became deathly ill, requiring several surgeries, five months in the hospital, and a long, slow, recovery period, one in which I am still participating, over ten years later. To whom to you belong? I mean who is in control of your feelings, emotions, heart, mind, and soul? Is it yourself? Is it just time and chance? Is it the one who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy you? The truth is for many of us, we just don't know... For much of my life, I knew that there was a "god", I knew that we just didn't appear here on earth one day, but as far as having a "god" to whom I belonged was a foreign thought to me, I just didn't get it...
