Helping God's People, Helping Oneself
Helping God's People. Helping Oneself
In 2013, I became deathly ill, requiring several surgeries, five months in the hospital, and a long, slow, recovery period, one in which I am still participating, over ten years later. During this time, I met a young man from Pakistan, a young man who wanted to learn who Christ was, and how he could meet Him. Because I was in the hospital, and later at home on bed rest, I had plenty of time to teach him Bible Studies, while sharing the Love of Christ with him.
Today, Sajin Samuel Masah is the Pastor of the church, founded by the late Bishop Kenneth Phillips, and myself, in Kenewal, Pakistan, with just 15 young people, eager to learn about the Love of Christ. And now, after nearly ten years, the church is going strong, Baptizing nearly 450 individuals into the Kingdom of God just this year. Town after town, and village after village, Pastor Sajin and his team continue to evangelize, and do God's work, reaching out to the lost, the hurting, the hungry, and the sick, irregardless of their faith systems, or rather they have any faith at all, literally becoming the hands, feet, eyes, and ears of our Mighty God Himself.
Now, my question for you today is this, will you help me help them? Obviously, my first request is that you pray, pray for them, the people of Pakistan as a whole, that God would lead the lost souls of that nation, back home. I ask you to pray for the members of the church their in Pakistan, both the members of PromiseLand Pakistan, and those associated with other churches, as Pakistan is not always welcoming to Christians, especially those who convert. Next. I request prayer for the group of young men who have dedicated themselves to the work of the Lord, entering training to become ministers themselves, preparing to carry the Gospel, into every corner, crevice, and crack they can find, literally placing their own lives on the line, so that the lost may be found. And finally, I ask you to pray about supporting the church financially, whether for Christmas, a one time donation, or on a monthly basis, knowing that whatever you do, we will be very appreciative, as we need all the help we can get as we fight the evil one and his minions who seek to steel God's Promise from the Seeds of Abraham themselves.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world... James 1:27
