The Promise of The Holy Spirit

In my life, I've had the very unique experience of attending several churches of varying denominations and traditions, from Baptist to Catholic, and from United Pentecostal to Non-Denominational, and each one of the services offered me a different understanding of who God is and how much He cares for you and I... You see in each tradition, and in each denomination, there are a couple things that remain the same... Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit... The Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, Espiritu Santo, The Still Quiet Voice, or that something inside that tells you and I what to do... Whatever you desire to call that special something, you and I both need it... Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth... You see there is Power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you... Power; not just a word to be thrown around or played with, but Real Power, like the Power which spoke the World in Existence, like the Power which allowed Peter to walk on water, and the same Power which raised Jesus from the grave... John 14:12-14 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it... Not only will we receive Power, but we shall receive understanding... When the Power of the Holy Ghost resides within us, the Living Word, which is the Holy Bible, begins to become more clear to us, the words begin to climb out of the pages of time and become a part of our daily life, the Holy Ghost which is the Comforter shall comfort us in times of need, in times of pain, or in times of greif. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you... The Holy Spirit, El Espiritu Santo, the Holy Ghost, or the Comforter, however you wish to refer to the One who was sent to comfort us when Jesus left this Earth to return to His Heavenly Home, I ask you to grab ahold of Him, ask Him to enter into your life, and follow His lead. If you do this, if you allow yourself to be guided by the Spirit, you'll find that your life will improve by leaps and bounds, not that you will not have any problems, but that you will attain a Peace that is above all measure, and a Peace that surpasses all understanding... This is the Peace of God the Father... The Peace of Christ Jesus... This is God's Promise to you, that if you allow Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, you shall never taste death, but have Everlasting Life...Amen...
