The other night, I spent some time talking with an individual struggling with life's issues. Unfortunately, the individuals problems, as far as they were concerned, seemed to them to be more than could be handled...  This story reminded me of one of my own struggles in the past, my health. The fear, uncertainty, and stress had constrained me, causing my faith to waver, and so I shared with them something that has been a help to me in the past, the account of Jacob and the Ang el from the book of Genesis chapter 32... Genesis 32:26 ...Let me go, for the day breaketh. And (Jacob) he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me... There are times when simple faith isn't always enough; sometimes, we must strap down and struggle with that thing which has us bound... No, it is not always easy... Yet, if we hold on, we too can overcome the situations in life and receive our own Jacob to Israel moment...  Genesis 32:28 ...Thy name shall no more be called ...

The Lord our God is good, He is faithful, and He is the best friend that you could ever have in this life, and in order to experience all He has to offer, we must have the presence of Holy Spirit within us; however, simply having the Holy Spirit within us doesn't guarantee that we will live a pain free life, only that God will guide us, comfort us, and accompany us all the days of our lives... But, there are definitely some notable signs that we have the Spirit of the Lord within us, and the number one sign is love. Well, let us talk about the goodness of God... As most of you now know, I have been dealing with some health issues that sometimes makes it difficult to walk, or even stand for any period of time; however, that's not all. Now, as most of you also now, my dad passed away on April 20, and we buried him on April 25, just a few days ago. Wednesday of last week, I began loosing my voice; now, I am not sure why, it could have been because of the many tears i cried, or perhaps allergies, but by  sunday morning, I was very horse and my throat was very sore... Sunday morning services at the church I attend, the PromiseLand, here in Austin, was explosive, and the alters were filled with those in need of prayer; therefore causing my already horse voice and sore throat to become even worse. So, this would not have been a problem except for the fact that I was scheduled to speak Sunday evening at six o'clock pm. Now, as if that was not enough, although I had begun taking notes for that ...

Modern technology is simply amazing; right now, I am wearing a device called an orthofix belt, and what it does is send some type of electromagnetic pulse through my body which results in improved bone growth, amazing… While I was in the hospital, it was discovered that my spinal cord was torn, and it would have to be sewn back together… How do you sew something the size of a single strand of hair?? but modern technology as found a way to do this… Modern technology has found a way to send magnetic waves through the body of a human being and make bones grow… In much of the same ways that modern technology has changed our world today, the words of Jesus Christ changed the world over two thousand years ago… The only difference between the two is this, next week, next month, or maybe even tomorrow, there will be a new device or piece of technology that will far exceed anything we have today; however, there has never been, nor will there ever be anything that changes the world like the wo...
