Be Encouraged

The Lord our God is good, He is faithful, and He is the best friend that you could ever have in this life, and in order to experience all He has to offer, we must have the presence of Holy Spirit within us; however, simply having the Holy Spirit within us doesn't guarantee that we will live a pain free life, only that God will guide us, comfort us, and accompany us all the days of our lives...
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law...
But, there are definitely some notable signs that we have the Spirit of the Lord within us, and the number one sign is love. Jesus Christ Himself tells us that loving God and loving one another is the greatest of the commandments, in fact, Christ Jesus tells us that it is the fulfilment of the Law...
Now, love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance, these are easy to adhere to; however, longsuffering is also mentioned as a fruit of the Spirit, and it's something that God truly does honor...
So, for those of you who have been going through some things, for those of us who may have had a rough year, just keep holding on, God will honor your faithfulness and drive with His faithfulness far exceeds ours, and His rewards far exceeds anything you could ever imagine...
So, today... Be encouraged, keep up the fight, and God will always be by your side, this is God's Promise to You...

Helping Oneself In 2013, I became deathly ill, requiring several surgeries, five months in the hospital, and a long, slow, recovery period, one in which I am still participating, over ten years later. During this time, I met a young man from Pakistan, a young man who wanted to learn who Christ was, and how he could meet Him. To whom to you belong? I mean who is in control of your feelings, emotions, heart, mind, and soul? Is it yourself? Is it just time and chance? Is it the one who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy you? The truth is for many of us, we just don't know... For much of my life, I knew that there was a "god", I knew that we just didn't appear here on earth one day, but as far as having a "god" to whom I belonged was a foreign thought to me, I just didn't get it... I lived my life from one moment to the next, not really giving much thought to how the way I lived affected those around me; honestly, I didn't even care how my lifestyle affected myself, but one day, that would all change, I would have a God encounter...
