God is Bigger Than Your Doubt

God is Bigger Than Your Doubt

John 20:24-31

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name

Have you ever questioned God? Have you ever doubted that God even existed? Well, you are not alone. Thomas, one of the Twelve Apostles, himself doubted after learning that Jesus Christ had been resurrected after his torture and crucifixion on Calvary hill. Thomas was a Disciple of Christ, he walked with Him, talked with Him, ate with Him, and even witnessed several of the miraculous events that occurred throughout Jesus’ ministry while here on Earth; however, even Thomas doubted.

Because God, in all of His infinite wisdom, knew that we as imperfect beings in a fallen world would find it difficult to believe, He left us not only written records of the many miracles Jesus performed throughout His Earthly life, He has given us His Holy Spirit. The fact that Time and History are both measured by the life and death of Jesus Christ is only one more reason to believe on the Name of Jesus. Although Jesus knew no sin, He chose to hang on the cross as a sign of His Love for us, and because of His sacrifice; we now have a chance at life.

“Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet believe”, this is God’s Promise to You, that because you have Faith in Him, you shall live and not die, you shall be filled with God’s Holy Spirit, and you shall be Blessed.
