God is with us...

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever...

In this troublesome hour, we must stand in the Promises of God... He has said time and time again that He will be with us through the valleys, that He would restore us, and that He would both protect us and comfort us... This is my Prayer for Boston, for West, and for the World, that God would begin to move, that He would make His presence known among men, that all those who are hurting would be comforted, the sick healed, and the broken hearts mended... God Bless your people, Heal the Land, and Draw all men unto You... In the Name of Jesus I Pray... Amen...

Helping Oneself In 2013, I became deathly ill, requiring several surgeries, five months in the hospital, and a long, slow, recovery period, one in which I am still participating, over ten years later. During this time, I met a young man from Pakistan, a young man who wanted to learn who Christ was, and how he could meet Him. Because I was in the hospital, and later at home on bed rest, I had plenty of time to teach him Bible Studies, while sharing the Love of Christ with him. To whom to you belong? I mean who is in control of your feelings, emotions, heart, mind, and soul? Is it yourself? Is it just time and chance? Is it the one who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy you? The truth is for many of us, we just don't know... For much of my life, I knew that there was a "god", I knew that we just didn't appear here on earth one day, but as far as having a "god" to whom I belonged was a foreign thought to me, I just didn't get it... I lived my life from one moment to the next, not really giving much thought to how the way I lived affected those around me; honestly, I didn't even care how my lifestyle affected myself, but one day, that would all change, I would have a God encounter... It was a point in my life in which everything had begun to unravel, my job, my personal life, everything...
