God Will Give You Joy!
Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord , my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels...
What a wonderful verse, it proclaims the Joy of The Lord, followed by two terms, that many of us are familiar with today, the Bridegroom and the Bride. I will greatly rejoice in The Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God! If you are anything like me, you have not always experienced the joy of The Lord, not because of anything God has done, but because of my own actions as well as my doubt and unbelief. Although I was raised in church, as a teen, I turned away from my Christ centered upbringing and turned to a life that was clearly against what I had been taught, and in all honesty, seemed to be exactly what the enemy of my soul desired. Now, the point of this message is not to glorify my past; therefor, I will not describe any of my past actions; however, I will share with you how my life has changed.
When a friend of mine, who had come to The Lord just a short before, asked me to go to church with him, I was like "uh, no, and please stop asking me", but he was persistent, and would not give up. Thankfully; he never gave up, and now I am saved, I have received the gift of God's Salvation, and I have been bathed in His Righteousness. Because of God's Grace and Mercy, my sin has been forgiven, and my life has been completely turned around, and just as the previous verse states, I am as the Bride being prepared for the Bridegroom, I am now being prepared for the return of Christ.
The great thing about Jesus, is that He has lived life on this earth, He knows what it means to feel pain, He knows how it feels to be tempted, He knows how it feels to be mistreated, and He knows how if feels to be abuses, every feeling that you or I have experienced in this life, Christ Jesus experienced during His time on the earth, and He understands exactly where you are coming from. God's Grace and Mercy are more than enough to cover your failures and short comings, as the Word of God states, Love covers a multitude of sins, and the fact that He gave His Life for ours shows that He indeed loves us more than words can ever express. (Prov. 10:12)
Today, I want you to know that God's Love for you as an individual, surpasses all understanding, and just as the Bridegroom waits patiently for the Bride, God is waiting patiently for you... His Love is more than enough to turn your life around, He will give you beauty for your life's burnt up ashes, He will cover you with His Righteousness, and He will give you Joy in your mourning... (Isa. 61:3) And He will give you Life and Joy more Abundantly! (John 10:10) Taste and see that The Lord is Good...(Psalm 34:8) God Bless... Amen...
