The Comforter...
Ecclesiastes 4:1-3 So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter. Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive. Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun...
This world of ours can be a troubling place, even for Solomon who, in his time, was not only the richest individual in the known world, he was a world traveler and a respected king. Solomon stated that all around the world he found oppression of the people by those in power, he saw evil works everywhere, and he considered the dead to be luckier than the living because they did not have to witness "the evil work that is done under the sun" but Christ Jesus came to the earth, both God and man, to change everything, He came to give us a comforter...
John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you...
The death of Jesus on the hill called Golgotha, created a pathway from earth to Heaven, enabling us to have direct contact with the Father... The Precious blood of Christ, the Holy Lamb of God, that was shed on that horrible day, has allowed us to go before The Lord blameless, our sins forgiven and cast away by the sacrificial blood of the Lamb....
And now that we have been washed clean by the Blood, we have been given the Holy Spirit to comfort us, guide us, and give us Peace...
John 14:26-27 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid...
Therefore; we have nothing to fear, we have no need to worry, and we can stand boldly before the throne of Grace... Although this Grace is freely given, we must take the first step, we must ask Jesus to come into our lives, we must make Him our Lord and Savior, and we must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us...
During the Easter season, review your relationship with The Lord, if it's not in order, take the necessary steps to place it in order... My prayer today is that someone who reads this today will realize that they're not living according to the example that God has left for them through Jesus Christ, and I pray that this person will ask God to come into their life and take control, I pray that they will be baptized in the name of Jesus, and be led by the spirit, this is my prayer for you today... God Bless... Amen...
