Bless The Lord...

The Lord our God is full of love, for He is Love; although He does become angry,  his anger will not last forever, for He knows we are only human. God's Grace and mercy will carry us through the worst of situations, and He renews our strength daily... The Lord our God is the God of Restoration, Salvation, and Healing, His tender mercies are new everyday, and His Love endures forever...

How do you describe such a God, a God who Loves All, even those who do not return the Love, how do you describe a God who sends forth the rains and blessings on the just and the unjust? What a Mighty and Awesome God... The Mighty God has cast our sin as far as the east is from the west, as He sits high in the heavens, so does His Mercy and Grace...

As a father cares for and loves his children, so does our Heavenly Father care for us; there are no words to explain, no gestures that can be made to exemplify, nor any way we could thank Him enough for His goodness and mercy... How do you describe a God of such Majesty? There is no simple way; however, Psalm 103 does a great job of describing His greatness to us...

Psalm 103:2-4
Bless the Lord , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies...

The Lord has healed me, He has been my strength when I was weak, I accompanied me through many difficult situations, He guided the surgeons hands as he sewed my spinal chord back together allowing me to once again use my legs... The Lord my God healed me of Spinal Meningitis when the physicians had no idea what else could be done... Yes The Lord is Good, He is Faithful, He is the Healer, He is the Great Physician, He has Restored me and made me Brand New... Yes, The Lord is Good... Over the past eleven months, God has taken me in a journey, a journey in which I learned to love Him, to cherish Him, to read and Love a His Holy Word, and He has taught me to Trust Him more than ever before... he has done it for me, and He will do it for you, but you must make the first move, you must invite Him in... Taste and see that The Lord is Good... God Bless... Amen...

P.S. I cried as I wrote this, just thinking back and seeing the goodness and faithfulness of God during my time of struggle, it's simply amazing, please, just try Him, you'll see that God is more than enough... Read Psalms 103 and Isaiah 58, you'll experience the Love of God like never before... God Bless... Amen...

Helping Oneself In 2013, I became deathly ill, requiring several surgeries, five months in the hospital, and a long, slow, recovery period, one in which I am still participating, over ten years later. To whom to you belong? I mean who is in control of your feelings, emotions, heart, mind, and soul? Is it yourself? Is it just time and chance? Is it the one who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy you? The truth is for many of us, we just don't know... For much of my life, I knew that there was a "god", I knew that we just didn't appear here on earth one day, but as far as having a "god" to whom I belonged was a foreign thought to me, I just didn't get it... I lived my life from one moment to the next, not really giving much thought to how the way I lived affected those around me; honestly, I didn't even care how my lifestyle affected myself, but one day, that would all change, I would have a God encounter...
